Biography

My name is Suzana Santos and I am a Mechanical Engineer at WestConnex in the Operations and Maintenance team, where I contribute to keep the tunnels safe, ease congestion and connect communities. I have diverse experience in the industry, at the beginning of my career I developed a non-destructive test for petrochemical companies, after my MBA in project management, I won an award in project management: Project of the Year 2013, during my work in a shipyard. Additionally, I have other accomplishments in the aerospace field as a structural engineer. Dedicated and passionate about my career, I am a strong advocate for Women in STEM and gender equity. As an engineer since forever, I love heavy machines and drive speed cars, and I also enjoy long walks with my dog, admiring nature and man-made features.
