Biography

I was awarded a Master of Research (Biomedical Science) in 2017 at the Macquarie University, Australia. I'm currently undertaking a PhD entitled Cannabinoid receptor pharmacology at molecular level in the laboratory of Professor Mark Connor, Macquarie University. My research studies are supported by an Australian Government Research Excellence Scholarship.

My research has two broad aims. Firstly, I'm investigating the potential molecular mechanisms underlying the effect of synthetic cannabinoids new psychoactive substances on the cannabinoid receptor activation. Secondly, I'm working to understand the anti-epileptic mechanism of phytocannabinoid cannabidiol (CBD). I have been using pharmacological, biochemical, and high-throughput screening techniques for the characterisation of cannabinoids.
