Biography

Dr Noelia Martinez is an academic postdoc at the Advanced Instrumentation and Technology Centre (AITC), at Mt Stromlo Observatory. Noelia completed her PhD in the Instituto de Astrofisica de Canarias (Spain), developing an Adaptive Optics system for Free Space Optical Communications with satellites, focusing on the communication link between the ground and the space. She is now part of the Adaptive Optics group at the ANU Research School of Astrophysics and Astronomy (RSAA), working in Space Situational Awareness and in an innovative concept of laser for the generation of artificial stars on the Australian skies. Noelia is a member of the association of Spanish Researchers in Australia-Pacific (SRAP).
