Biography

Dr Nicole Sharp has over fifteen years’ experience in the higher education and research sectors, having worked in teaching, research specific and strategic roles. Nicole completed her PhD at the University of Wollongong in 2019. She undertook a narrative inquiry titled "Making my own path": Journeys of emerging adults with cerebral palsy. Nicole has published in the areas of acquired brain injury, qualitative methodology, and disability program evaluation. Her current research interests include role emerging placements for occupational therapy students, experiences of people with disability, families/carers and service providers around the National Disability Insurance Scheme, and social skill development for people with disability. Nicole teaches in the areas of mental health, occupational justice and community based and role emerging occupational therapy.
