Biography

Nicole De La Mata is an early career researcher and biostatistician working with Sydney School of Public Health, The University of Sydney. She has previous experience in managing and using large observational cohorts to evaluate patient outcomes and influence health policy. Her interests include cardiovascular disease, cohort studies, data linkage and survival analysis.

To date, she has authored 38 peer-reviewed publications and 2 technical reports. Her research has been published in high impact journals including Stroke (top 10% in the clinical neurology field and peripheral vascular disease) and the Medical Journal of Australia (top 10% in Medicine, General and Internal field). She is currently involved in two data linkage studies: 1) evaluating mortality in people with end-stage kidney disease and living kidney donors; and 2) biovigiliance in organ donor referrals, organ donors and organ transplant recipients in NSW, Australia (in partnership with the NSW Ministry of Health).
