Biography

Dr Nathalie Dehorter is a group leader at the Eccles Institute of Neuroscience of The John Curtin School of Medical Research, The Australian National University. The goal of her research is to investigate the mechanisms underlying the development and adaptation of neurons in the brain. The hope is that by unravelling early signs of neuronal changes in animal models it will be possible to identify new therapeutic strategies for brain disorders such as schizophrenia, autism and Parkinson's disease.
