Biography

Dr Kirkovski is a Lecturer in Psychology (College of Health and Biomedicine, Victoria University).

She has experience using a variety of neuro-scientific modalities, including: functional and structural magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and electroencephalography (EEG).  Her primary research interests involve understanding the neurobiological basis of autism, with a focus on social cognition, the role of biological sex, and the overlap between autism and anorexia. She also has experience in taking basic science approaches to understanding the neurobiological mechanisms underlying social cognition, and translating this research to inform clinical trials assessing novel device-based biomedical interventions.
