Biography

I am a Research Scientist for Horticulture Systems at Tatura. My research interests revolve around precision orchard management, sunlight and fruit quality. I have conducted experiments into the colouring habits and spatial orchard factors affecting fruit quality of new Australian blush pear cultivars, and the influence of light on floral initiation in nectarine. I have presented at scientific forums internationally and locally on the effect of shade on blush pears and has published on pear colour development in an international science journal and Australian industry magazines. I completed my Master of Agricultural Sciences from the University of Melbourne in 2016 with a specialisation in crop production.
