Biography

Dr Jane Kaczmarek is a future-focused radio astronomer at the Parkes radio telescope (aka `The Dish’). After having received her PhD in Physics from the University of Sydney in September 2017,  Dr Kaczmarek joined CSIRO Astronomy & Space Science as a post-doctoral fellow in a role that has led to the successful commissioning of a recent upgrade to the iconic Parkes Radio Telescope and has brought a ground-breaking, reliable instrument to the global astronomical community. Dr Kaczmarek is an active member of multiple regional and national committees and programs that focus on encouraging and mentoring students to pursue STEM fields.
