Biography

Gretchen has a passion for encouraging and supporting women in technology. After completing a Bachelor in Operations Research she applied these skills in a variety of industries, from agriculture, through to plastic surgery and even at the World Rally Championships.

Gretchen is a dedicated advocate for women in technology, leveraging her diverse background to drive inclusivity and innovation in the industry. With a Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, she has applied her skills across various sectors, including agriculture, plastic surgery, and even the World Rally Championships.

Recognized for her contributions, Gretchen played a pivotal role in her organization receiving the Diversity in Tech Merit Award in 2019. She has showcased her expertise by hosting panels at prestigious events such as the Grace Hopper Conference and DDD Melbourne's 10th conference, focusing on topics like parenting in technology and fostering diversity.

As the CEO and co-founder of Kaleida, Gretchen leads a pioneering platform that offers technology-focused career growth frameworks, aiming to implement best practices and promote employee engagement. Her extensive experience in software development, coupled with her passion for diversity, drives her mission to create inclusive workplaces.

Prior to founding Kaleida, Gretchen held key roles, including Community Manager at Cloudflare and Chief Operating Officer at Linc.sh. Her experience spans both corporate and startup environments, providing her with invaluable insights into the needs and challenges of the tech industry.

Committed to community growth, Gretchen has trained numerous bootcamp graduates and serves as a Director at Women Who Code Melbourne. Her leadership at Kaleida reflects her dedication to shaping a more equitable and inclusive tech landscape, empowering individuals from diverse backgrounds to thrive in technology.
