I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Western Australia and Curtin University. I have transdisciplinary expertise in physiology, imaging, mathematics and statistics, and data science.
Building upon this expertise, my ultimate goal is to develop a research program and novel methods that systematically model (i.e., mathematically and computationally) the complexity of biological processes across multiple systems, to enhance scientific understanding of health and disease and enable clinical translation via targeted interventions.
My PhD research investigated the consequences of dysferlin deficiency in skeletal muscles, to better understand the molecular basis for the disease progression in patients with dysferlinopathy. Extending upon my PhD work, I am now engaged in a large transdisciplinary research program investigating several biological systems/components involved in muscular dystrophies.
