I am a PhD candidate, sessional academic, and research officer at UWA. I have expertise in physiology and advanced mathematics/statistics, and I strive to integrate these skillsets as part of multidisciplinary research programs.
My main research interest is in the impact of disease and ageing on skeletal muscle using a multidisciplinary approach. My current research explores and aims to better understand the muscular dystrophy dysferlinopathy, using a combination of lab-based physiology, medical imaging, and statistical methodologies. In so doing, my ultimate goal is to develop dynamic multi-system models that will enable clinical translation and targeted treatment approaches.
