Biography
I am a post-doctoral researcher and imaging facilities staff in the Centre for Dynamic Imaging at Walter Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research. My main area of research is developing oblique plane lightsheet microscopy at WEHI.
Previously I completed a PhD in biomedical engineering at Swinburne University of Technology, specializing in innovative microscopy techniques for 3D cell and tissue imaging. I have proficiency in tools such as confocal microscopy and Raman microspectroscopy, and I excel in computational analysis using MATLAB, Python, CellProfiler, and ImageJ macros. I thrive in collaborative settings, with a successful track record spanning international research groups, industry, government, defence, and hospitals. As a dedicated and organised early-career researcher, I bring diverse analytical skills to data interpretation and can find different methods to analyse a set of data to gain new perspectives. I have a Bachelor of Science (hons)/Masters of Nanotechnology from La Trobe University, with majors in Mathematics, Physics, and Nanotechnology. I play an active role in organising events and conferences in professional societies like Light Microscopy Australia and the Australian Institute of Physics. I aspire to be an inspiring leader, continually expanding my scientific expertise and contributing to impactful organizations.
