Biography

I joined Earth Science Western Australia (ESWA) at the start of 2018 as an Education Officer. The organisation has now grown and our name has changed to Australian Earth Science Education (AusEarthEd) to better reflect our reach into other states and territories. As part of the AusEarthEd team, I help provide support to schools across the state through incursions and field trips, teacher professional development and writing classroom resources. I love my job as I get to share my love of earth science with a wide range of students of all ages, doing lots of fun activities to teach earth science concepts. I also get to travel all over the state meeting lovely people.

I also volunteer as the Educator Advisor on the committee of The Innovators' Tea Party, a Perth-based, volunteer-run not-for-profit organisation which aims to inspire and empower more young women to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). We link successful female scientists, engineers and innovators with high-school students in order to promote STEM-focussed careers.
