Biography

Anika Molesworth is a researcher with the Centre for Regional and Rural Futures and her PhD trials in Australia and Southeast Asia are exploring ways to optimise soil fertility in water constrained environments using organic amendments. Her family’s sheep farm in Broken Hill, Far Western NSW, sparked her interest in farming systems and environmental conservation, which has developed into a career taking her around the world. As 2015 Young Farmer of the Year and 2017 NSW Finalist for Young Australian of the Year. She gone on to be recognised as Young Sustainablity Champion at the Green Globes Awards, and a Future Shaper by Women of Style. Anika is a passionate advocate for sustainable farming, natural resource management and climate change action.
