Biography

I have a passion for science, commercialisation and communication which includes broad experience across veterinary, biotech and medical fields. A veterinary parasitologist by training, I'm fascinated by how parasites don't just live, but thrive, in a very hostile environment and the constant warfare between parasite and host.

After my postdoctoral training, I entered the animal health industry where I design and implement research programs to support the registration of new products which improve the health and welfare of animals from pets through to food-producing species. I especially enjoy making products that help Australian sheep and cattle farmers improve their productivity and competitiveness in global markets, and provide a safe and sustainable food and fibre supply. I like to work at the interface of business and science where I can turn ideas into tangible things.
